Custom order for Mermaid on Seahorse

Custom order that I did for a customer. I usually do this particular mermaid in green, with a copper colored seahorse (as shown below), but I had a request for a blue mermaid with a pink seahorse. I actually like how it came out. Pictured below is the green with copper, and also the blue with pink.

Chubby Baby Seahorses - My Newest Creations

As I'm waiting to fill my kiln full of mermaids, before we fire it, I decided to paint some cute seahorses that I had. I had originally painted one of these as a dark blue metallic set, but later, was not satisfied with the result, so I removed the paint, and re-painted them. Now I have a cute pastel turquoise set, and a pastel pink set. They are adorned with acrylic gems, and have a flower with a feather on their lil noggins. You can view them on ebay by clicking the photos below. I'll see how they work with sales, and if they don't do well, I plan on putting them on my bathroom wall.

New Set of Missy Mermaid Wall Plaques

My newest creation is a set of my Missy Mermaid Wall Plaques that I just painted for a customer. I love painting these little gals. They're absolutely adorable. They were painted with acrylic paint. I drybrushed their little bottoms, sprayed them with a porcelain sealer, and they are adorned with gems.My previous set were brunettes, that were in the colors of blue, pink, and teal. The request for this set was for black hair, in the colors of blue, yellow, and teal. I actually like the black hair better.

Whimsy Mermaid Wall Plaque Pair

One of my newest creations, is this Whimsy Mermaid set. I used a drybrushing technique on ceramic bisque, to give a soft-look. Both have been sprayed with a porcelain sealer.

The Whimsy Mermaids were poured from a vintage mold, and the scales are starting to become worn, so I have re-cut each scale in individually. Below is a photo, showing where I was cutting the scales in on greenware.

Glamour Mermaids #1 & #2

Introducing my Glamour Mermaids. Adorned with flowers and gems, these beauties are ready to be added to you nautical decor. They measure between 7 - 7 3/4 in. tall. They are painted with acrylic paint on ceramic bisque, drybrushed, and every scale has been re-furbished for a crisp detail. They've been sprayed with a porcelain sealer for protection.
